I just wanted to say hi! You seem to have a much nicer community than over at blizzard land.

*hugs a shiny new copy of Guild WArs*

To all the people who've contributed to the information, newbie help specificaly... Thank you! With any luck I wont get killed by the first giant rat I meet.

Say, are there any giant rats? O.o

Yeah, when I played the beta events the game was clean and everyone seemed friendly. I hope that doesnt change, its probably what gave me such a good impression of this game ; the nice team cooperation.

Level 60 Lock. =P

Now that was a joy, lemme tell ya.

I'm curious, are the classes here with all their skills and combos, considered balanced for gameplay purposes?

From what I can see, each proffesion is equaly badass, rather than equaly tame. I hope I'm right!

With the huge spell list they have they should realy be well ballanced and interesting. I just hope that some of the classes do not have a extremely overpowered spell that everyone will use.

Ex-WoWer here, too, but I jumped ship about a month ago, with GW on the horizon. I knew it would be the next big game I'd play, but I had a one-month limbo there where I didn't have a whole lot to do. The wait is over soon, though...I'll get to play in about 24 hours! w00t!

Arbalest, I couldn't agree more. I had such a tough time picking which classes I wanted to play that I finally just drew a circle divided into 6 parts, labelled for each class, and let a pencil hit it a couple times. Landed on Mesmer, then Monk, which is what I'll play when the game starts. This is in contrast to WoW, where pretty much there was only one class that really appealed to me at a time.

Nice, its good to know that full Guilds are transfering over, thatl be a nice basis for a community. + having the WoW peeps, itl let ya know not so many noobs will be here, since a free game type like GW attracts how shall i say, the more unmature crowd.
