OK, I'm new here but I did read the post regarding spoilers. So here's my request:

What do I need to do at the beginning? I've run around the world a bit, I've got myself to level 6 and would like to do two specific things. First, how do you get the belt pouch? I can only find a crafter who won't make it. Second, how do I get into the Academy? Sir Ty-D-Bowl won't talk to me anymore.

I just read a guide, and it had the worst kind of vague information.

Looks like there's more than one guide here
