Video Card Stuff

I know nothing about video performence on computers and I wanted to know how I could find out how much RAM and all that stuff my computer has so I can compare it to the minimum requirements. Also, I have an on-board video card and I want to know if that's not going to be good enough to play GW.

to figure out what specs your cpu and ram are you need to download a program called cpu-z google it for the site i dont know off the top of my head. And that should fulfill all your infomration
as far as the graphics i would think it would be enough, just set it to performance and i think you will be fine, but to be sure what mobo is it, or computer?

In windows goto
Click on the Start button (lower right)
Click on the control panel
Extra Step For WinXP Only
- If you are not in classic view (switch to classic view by clicking on the text on the left hand side that says "switch to classic view"

Click on the system icon
A window will pop up which tells you your processor speed and the amount of ram you have.
So for example on mine it says
To get your graphics card click on the hardware tab at the top of the same window. Now click on the device manager button.
A window should pop up.
Expand the "Display Adapters" section by clicking on the + sign. It should list your graphics card there.

My computer doesn't seem to meet the minimun requirements for RAM. Once again, being a total newb at this stuff, how do I get more RAM? I feel stupid now

How much RAM do you have?
You'll have to buy a stick of RAM and install it youself. Before you do that you might want to give us your entire system specs so we can see if it's even worth upgrading heh.

It's just an onboard one. It's name is really long but it starts with SiS

Do you have an agp slot?
A ram upgrade and a video card upgrade would be a good idea.
Usually onboard video isn't that hot unless you have an nforce mother board or something (which you don't by the way heh)

Yea most onboard video sucks. Anything that starts with SiS or Intel don't even bother starting to play a graphic intense game. What u should do is buy a seperate video card. They have PCI cards u can buy if u dont have a agp port. But it would be alot easier if u post your system so we can give u tips on upgrading.
