I love reading these... Kind of like watching Americas Funniest Videos. It is really quite ammusing to see the naive things some of you do?

I'll offer 5 ecto to the person who has the best story about how easily they were scammed... When I pay you the Ecto, I'll need to hold 10 of your Ectos, then I'll give you 15 back.

Definately not the best but i've suffered at the hands of 60 gold for a sup vigor rune before where can we meet for the ecto trade?

I know. I love reading scam posts, just because I find them so amusing.

This one didn't work on me and I think some 12-year old kids would fall for it.

Player A wants cash. He trades with Player B who got a nice sword. Player A says, "New Trading Method" pay me first and after I'll give you your item.


Next day at the forums....

I think you will love this. My brother invented/started/perfected most of the scams in this game, along with starting and making ~1mil off sigil scamming

The best scam I have seen, ever, is:
Player A Has a 15-28 15%>50 Stormbow, gold.
Player B convinces Player A to put the bow up, in exchange for his "fissure armor", aka regular 15k armor. He puts up 100k and agrees to paying the rest in 100k payments, up to 1.8 million.
Player A hits accept.
Player B Whispers him saying "Buhbye!" and walks over and buys new 15k armor

I win? I soooo want -10 ectos.

You seem to be proud of him. Doesn't sound like something I would be very proud of.

So you don't feel any sadness for the people being scammed? What if someone were to take your most valued posession?

Scams don't worth without stupidity on the part of the scamee. Not that they deserve to be scammed but I have no sympathy for them.

Common sense seems to have been nerfed.

Just because some people are naive doesn't mean you have to take advantage of them.

Mildly intelligent people would make great scammers....problem is, most scammers seem to be retarded (ie, cannot think of a new way to scam, uses methods that have already been done to death or babbles on about how he'll get banned if he scams when we report to Anet...Why don't you give the money first and ban us if we scam you idiot). I personally don't feel sorry for the people who have been scammed (they should have been more cautious), but neither can I feel any admirance for people who scam other people and make millions of in game gold by their methods. I just pity them for the fact that they have to cheat other people in order to feel joy from the game, especially those who pride themselves in the fact that they stole some other guy's virtual money.

I buy wood from people for 10g each...it feels like a scam because I turn 5 of them into 100g in less than 2 minutes....

GW is a role playing game, and that doesn't mean we are playing out the role of some virtual adventure hero in some fantasy land. We are, in fact, playing as our own personal selves. Everyone has experienced the very helpful, very considerate team player, as well as experienced the vast number of egoistic idiots that don't seem to give a darn for anyone else in their group.

Well, so it is with scammers. Unfortunately, just as these types of people exist in real life, so do they also exist in this game, for example Scavenger's brother, who scams, and Scavenger himself, who's morality seems to be no better.

The scammed ones deserve it.

To all you scammers out there , you suck, your the type of person that makes me want to rip out your balls and shove them down your throat, in the time it takes your to "scam" someone i have already made at least half of what you might have scammed.

I really love these people, yes i'll offer 80k for that "item", trading window closes....whoops, 80gp is put up instead of the orginal offer of 80k, and when you say to them wtf, and point out their stupidness their like ...????HUH!!?
and play dumb...that's ok there's an ongoing list of you idiots, and your names get passed around. This happened to me 4 times within 1 hour...to you idiots go f yerself, ya lazy bastages, too bad there are ppl who fall for this, heh and many more who do not. :P

To thoses that too quickly click the accept button...yes it is exciting to get someone to buy that gold item or high health upgrade at a high price but always always always check your items and prices first, never trust someone at first glance, and keep your arrow away from the accept button untill you are sure of the trade.

And to thoses ppl scamming to get 50k, research the solo monk build, i make any where from 25k to 100k, or more, a day (6hours) farming....if your that lazy or spend that amount of time thinking up ways to scam people then maybe you shouldn't be playing at all...hell i'd ban everyone of you myself.

The scammed ones deserve it??? lol oh your such the retard, they "deserve it" what a shit for brains excuse, noone deserves that, you deserve a kick in the ass, words cannot express the feelings i have for people like that, they deserve it....like you deserve to get hit by a speeding bus.....hey someone convinced you they have wmd's you deserve to get invaded.....
