Expertise attribute question
Red Peasant
I've got a lvl 12 R/Me, and I've been putting points into expertise for a while now (I took most of them out and put them elsewhere b/c of the problem I've been having, but I had 8 points there at one point), and it hasn't seemed to lower the cost of my skills. It says that it lowers the energy cost of attack skills, preps, and traps, but Ignite Arrows and such still cost the same amont of energy as when I had nothing in expertise. Has anybody else had this issue, or am I just a n00b that hasn't figured out what expertise actually does yet?

The change isn't huge, but it is there. And it isn't noted in the skill, but if you try to cast a 5 energy spell with only 4 energy, and have points in expertise, you'll see it go off. Higher up, it becomes even more apparent (15 energy spells only costing 10 etc).

If you had 8 points into expertise it should have reduced the cost of ignite arrows by a noticable amount, there shouldn't be any reason why it isn't working...
Try just using a high energy cost skill with the expertise and see how much energy is lost.

Ok, so it reduces the energy cost, it just doesn't show it in the skill description? That's kinda what I figured, but I just wanted to make sure. I find that kind of odd, seeing as all the other modifiers for damage, duration, etc. get updated in the skill description when you add points to attributes, but as long as it's working, I'll take it. Thanks guys.

The energy cost description in ur skills' icons won't change, but with points in expertise you can cast skills at lower energy levels than required. Note that each level of expertise gives 4% energy cost reduction (rounding down)
