newb Q about attributes

Ive done little research into this game, and just grabbed it, on a friends suggestion. Im anti-grind so i was easily swayed, and the idea that 80% of lvl 60s, wont suck..wow, skill instead of time, what a concept. lol

Anyways my question is, if i just throw attributes where i think they should go, can i respect later on? Cause clearly, i will make poor descions.. as i know nothing of the game. I guess im wondering if i should take some forum advice and make a char thats tried and true.. or just have fun now, and be disappointed later with a gimp char<yes i read...there are no gimped players in this game>

am i not understanding how attributes are delivered?

ye u can reroll all your attributes at any time of the game.
