Its a funny way to treat customers.. I pre ordered from EB and got the game today. Yet cannot play the thing till tommorrow. I for one am considering mailing the whole box to them and they can refund me. this is BS.

they were just nice enough to let you get your copy early..

Hi,

The agme wasnt supposed to be released till the 28th. I was shocked to see it out at EB games today when i went but i got my copy whilst i could. They sold 4 more whilst i was there too, lol.

There has been a lot of confusion about the preordering. You only get early access if you aquired a preorder package, that is, a box with stuff in it, including a preorder key. If you simply ordered the game before it came out and didn't get said package then you got ripped off by the shop, not ArenaNet.
Here's an extract from the official FAQ:

The official website says PDT. Whatever it is, it's 3 hours and 15 minutes from now.

God DAMNIT! I went to ebgames on monday and pre-ordered, and they didnt have any preorder packages. I said I didnt really need one. But now I regret that decision. No matter, Im a heavy power gamer.. I should reach cap in a few days... Goodbye homework and good grades

Only at lvl 10? Lol, you have 10 more lvls to reach then the fun of pvping Find a guild that suits you to bring more fun to the game. Thats what ill be doing...if i can stay awake.

playing, pre orderd, was a huge fan. im the one whose bitching about no 2h swords or dual weilding . its either gimp sword shield, stupid 2h hammer. or axe.. ( wooooo) lack of melee choices.

*edit* not to mention there isnt any rogue class, at all.

Err... this game isn't about reaching max level- you'll do that long before even reaching the end of the storyline missions. Heck, I'm level 10, and haven't even done the third mission in Ascalon yet. If you're looking for a game to just spend hours grinding levels, then GW probably isn't for you- it's based around having fun and having challenging gameplay when you're at max level.

I picked up my Collector's Edition and pre-order box at EBGames yesterday and came home, installed, and was playing Guild Wars by 7:00pm. Spent several hours playing and enjoyed it much more than I anticipated. Right now I'm a Level 4 Ranger playing with the wonderful ingame item provided to EBGames customers, the "Ithas Bow." It's MUCH more powerful than the starter bow.

Remember you have to use the EBGames certificate in the log-in box instead of the CD key on the disk if you want to get this item!
