The summoner is a class that is used to summon upon the spirits, ghosts, angels, gods, demons, and anything else to do their bidding. Somewhat similar to the Charm Animal or the Animate Bone Horrors, this is a completely different class. Allow me to explain and you'll see that this class is truely unique.
The weapon for this class is the Summoning Card. They are a weak weapon and mainly help fuse the two classes of primary and secondary together easier. Card varieties such as, Burnt Bark, Playing Cards, Octogon Hex Card, Steel Thrown Cards, and more help the aid of other classes.
All summons are signets, at least most of them are. A lot of the good ones are Elite so you're only limited to one and a lot of powerful summons are also one time use like the resurrection signet. Also, any summons with Requirements do not get stronger unless you have points in worshipping.

Pain - All opponents are inflicted with a random ailment.
Now keep in mind, any that seem overpowered are most likely a one time use signet and/or elite. Once a summoner has used up all of his/her uses of summons (some can only be used once, some can be used up to 5 times or infinite) then they are reduced to weak summons and are kind of vulnerable. They are able to deal high damage in a short ammount of time and if they are interrupted by being attacked or any other way while casting some types they have to start over.

thanks for taking the time to share your ideas, however, your idea seems very close to the type of gaming found in a Final Fantasy or in cartoons like Yu Gi Oh (or whatever it's called). I believe that it's kind of far from the Guild Wars universe, characters wouldn't be fighting any more, Guardian Forces would

Oh dang it, I know it's bound to happen that there are similar ideas out there, I don't watch Yu Gi Oh or play Final Fantasy, so I really don't know how I'd be able to make it different from them. Oooh... darn oh well.

I would like it more if u can use signets to capture the spirits of dead PVE monsters
Kai Nui
I don't want this class to be like a Necromancer, but yeah I considered something similar.

Where do you think monsters in this game came from? some creatures looks so original but most likely they are combination of mythical creatures from stories and other games.
VAPORGun
dude this would be cheap as it doesnt reallythe amount of damage that u cause it sthe amount of people that u can create, and since thier all signets, u never have to worry about enrgy, so maybe a little unbalanced VS every class except 55health monks
