Hi guys,

Is the mission that requires you to go north of the wall in pre searing a group thing? I go up and open the gate with the lever, but by the time I get down, the gates have closed. I cant remember in beta if I went in alone or not, i thought I did, anyone she some light on this?

I had the same problem: Door does not stay open long enough making that quest impossible to solo.

You need to have two people to get on the other side of the wall. Have one member standing in front of the wall, while the other operates the lever. When the door opens, have the member infront of the wall enter and zone. You will then zone automatically.

Skip grouping with one other person so you can group with three?

The quest north of the wall quest is easy, but the charr to the north are the most fun you can have in presearing as long as you don't mind dieing a few times...

Ive done this before in beta, I just could not remember how I actually got past the gate It was not hard either, did not die once in beta. I guess I might try to get someone to come along with me tonight.

Plenty of game out there then to have to be forced to group to do a quest. If I have a gripe about GW, that is it.

I've seen people in Ascalon basically begging to group up to do that quest the whole time I was playing lastnight, it should be quite easy to get 2+ other people to have fun in the north of the wall quest. Kind of seems odd to me that you would say having to associate with others to do a quest is a downside. In the mid to upper levels of the game you might really be dissapointed.

They only have to open the gate for you, they don't have to stay once you are there. Just have the other player drop after you get through.

I did the North Wall mission last night. I did it with just myself as a Necro/Ele and 3 Henchman grouped with me. Died a few times during it and had a 38% penalty at one point. It's not exactly the easiest to do without anothe r live player to help you though. And don't forget the insane run back to the gate once you find what you are looking for.

They're talking about pre-searing, you have to party up to get through the gate...

I'm level 12 now doing level 14-15 missions, and so far the rez signet quest (you can just buy the skill post searing for like 10g), that gate quest (to open the gate), and the academy (you can actually get placed with henchmen for this too if nobody else is running it at the same time), are the only ones you need to group for. The rest are all easily done with henchmen. Easily meaning I've only wiped twice so far, both from mistakes that would have wiped a group of actual players anyway (over pulls). And yes I've been doing every mission with henchmen only.
