Are people that focus in one profession only gimped?

All I see is duel professions listed on the message boards. If someone wanted to just go ranger or just mesmer would they be at a significant disadvantage over someone else?

Ya, I was wonderin the same thing cus I would go pure Elementalist with both Air/Water focus

That should be disadvantage under someone else. But anyway, There's no advantage to having only one profession.You could just as easily have a second profession that you never use anything from. Having a second profession gives you more choices and so then arguably makes you better. Why limit yourself to one set of skills when you can have two for no extra cost?

I doubt you can be truly "giped", since you can only choose 8 skills out of 70+ per profession. However, you char could problably pick a really good skill of a secondary profession and put it in instead of a filler skill.
