Magmas shields

Do they drop anywhere on the fire islands or only in one location? Where do they drop most often and from what mobs? Are there any builds that can solo in the fire islands in any one of the locations or more? Also has anyone got a build for soloing avicara or stone summit in the southern shiverpeaks?

Thanks for any help to my questions.... and in case someone asks, yes I did use the forum search tool before creating this post, but all I got were the different magmas shields for sale out there.

They dropped like hell before. ArenaNet nerfed all monster's droprates to oblivion.

wrong solution to a very real problem. gw is turning into another farmerquest. what they should do is nerf protective bond and the other steps to monk farming and restore the drops somewhat.

the drop rate was already nerfed in all areas way before the craze of the 105monk build. (*the drop rate was controlled not the drops themselves.)

the drop rate was bcuz of the bots, and it is still highly possible to get a magmas shield in the fire islands by partying/doing the mission at this time. (*hells pricipe)

so is hell's precipice the best place for them to drop?

Its the only place Ive gotten them. 1/3 of the way up, as you cross a bridge, Ive gotten 2 in one fight. Never Have seen once sence. My Necro is gonna be there soon, going to see if I can rangle me another. People freak when they see hers!
