Solo Mesmer rumor

I don't know if its true but during one of my runs to the forge another player mentioned a Solo Mesmer build. Is this true if so what is the skill set and the secondary class.
From what I have gathered the skill set is as follows:
Phantom Pain
Conjure Phantasm
Signet of Midnight[E]
Crippling Anguish
????
????
????
????
Obviously its Illusion heavy so if some one can fill me in on the rest of the skill set where the Attribute Points go and the secondary class I would be very grateful.

Solo for what? Also, Crippling Anguish is also elite.

I don't think it can be done, unless it goes monk heavy. Monk heavy using fast cast maybe.

I'm assuming you're talking about solo farming.
There's a way but it doesn't involve signet of midnight (unless you're up against one monster).

Use distortion, Spirit of failure, mantra of recovery, ether feast, and then use either domination skills + illusion offensive skills or use offensive skills from your secondary, preferably elementalist. Channeling can be useful if it doesn't get removed.

Still though, mesmers are the absolute worst solo farmers. There are better ways using any other class.

It's quite a challenge to solo as a mesmer, but for that same reason, quite fun too. A Me/E build with water magic heavy can solo to some extent. It uses water elementalist's cheap and spammable icy spear, water attunement for energy conservation, maelstrom, mist form (elite) coupled with distortion, energy tap for energy, and ether feast plus phantom pain. It works, nowhere as good as a solo monk of course, but just playable against small-size melee mobs.

I think it was a UW solo. I didn't really get it either but they were talking about it like it was an insane build so i wanted to check it out for myself. Maybe not though....
