I need your help ppl!
ok, so I wanted to ascend as low and quick as i can, After 1 hour in Pre-Searing I have an age of 3 hours and am at augry rock with Thirsty river open only. tomarrow I will open the other 2 missins and should win all 3 of them.
NOW! for the impossible, My mesmer monk, how whould you face him at lvl 4 in this situation? what spells besides constant healing breeze? could this even be done? some ascend at VERY low lvl's just not this low, what stratagies do u recomend? I WOULD say no skills but breeze and just battle it out BUT! even with a minor rune and +51 armor, i will take BIG dmg. I got that armor since i knew i would needs as much defense as i can. So far it is fun to say "Lvl 3 mesmer LFG" in the oasis.

Easy. Wastrel's worry and hex breaker as your only 2 spells. All you do is tap the strafe buttons back and forth(left and right) as fast as you can while casting hex breaker and he'll kill himself.
(IF you can manage, empathy would help make it faster too. But you gotta make sure not to get hit at all... damage is deadly from that guy's bow)

uhhh lvl 3 is the lowest you can ascend....and its been done...many times
just use empathy and sidestep his attacks...and repeat....it takes no time...after you get the hang of it

What is the fastest someone ever went from creation to ascending? that would be fun to know, i know it wont be this character, we stopped and goofed a bit. I wanted to go for time but that has left

backfire with all healing spells and use backfire and watch him killhimself is what i did with my mesmer but he was lvl 8..

well, i may let her use my elementals staff for the energy and dual +29 health benefits as well, it aint like she will be blasting at him and she will still get the +10 energy and +29, +29 health bonus, that should do. of course the staff goes back to elemantal after or he willl have words with her!

Well, I'm trying to ascend with my monk/mesmer lvl 17, but all those backfire and wastrells'worry and empathy tactics won't really work....With empathy he keeps hitting me...So I die quicker cuz he is lvl 20:S

Be funny to arrive at Ember Camp and tell people that you just got there by running... see how many people you can dupe into believing you got run there. Tell them of a secret land bridge near the Sanctum Cay that leads over the sea to the Ring of Fire
EDIT: you could start a massive trend! hundreds of PvE'ers and PvP'ers alike all spending countless hours scouring the coastline looking for this hidden (perhaps partly submerged) landbridge

I did it with my level 6 mesmer just spamming distortion and the empathy/sidestep ;o

well i will keep my distance and sadly o have no choice but to become a lvl 4 with the xp from desert missions so that sucks. 4 will still be low though.

I believe at level 4 you should have 160 base health, bringing your total to 248.
With empathy, he just takes the listed damage when he attacks, but the attack still proceeds as normal, meaning you can still get hit.
If the empathy thing doesn't work, my only other suggestion is maybe lowering your health substantially (which should be easy since you are level 4) and bring protective spirit to only take a small amount of damage with each attack. In addition, healing breeze to keep yourself healthy, and empathy to damage him could work.

i know this has nothing at all to do with this thread, but what the hell is this ascension you guys are talkin about? do you get some special benefits if you ascend or something? or some elite skills? oh and how do you get elite skills?
i posted in like 4 different threads, i now know what ascending is so everyone can just disregard that part. but still, how do you get the elite skills? they sound fun

I don't want to spoil why it happens cause I'll ruin the story twist for you, but it's one of the steps along the way to finishing the storyline.
To access Fissure and UW you need to ascend. And to change your second profession, you'll need to ascend to get to the place where you can.

).There are lists of the elite skills all over the net, basically they are the best skills you can get for your character, they can only be captured from enemy bosses using the capture skill signet and you can only equip one on your skill bar at a time. The first elite you will come across will be in one of the three desert missons leading up to your ascension, most of the rest are scattered all over the shiverpeaks

Another glitch is that he does not use boon...so you could cast boon at start, then hit boon anytime you need a heal. Pair this with breeze and you have him for sure

Before I get flamed, we did it purely for fun because we were bored, and wanted to see if it could be done. We both went back together and played the game as it was meant to be played later on.

I did my ascension yesterday with a W/Mo lvl10. I knew the trick of healing breeze (my 5th character through ascension) and... my double used it !
They fix some glitch, it can moves, it uses healing breeze. With these two things fixed, that made my ascension kind of tricky I did it (finally) using the.. tank method... bring frenzy get as close as you can and bash on him once he used frenzy.. hope that you can inflict enough damage before your health is 0
I also tried using a scroll to get more XP... but that didn't work. I still received 50,000xp + bonus for killing him. The scroll modified the amount of xp received for the kill not for the ascension. So I'm at dragon's lair at lvl 16.
I don't understand how people can have difficulties doing Dunes of Despair. I did it as lvl 8.. with henchmen only. Only one of them died in the process.

I got my level 10 Mesmer to Ember light camp. He had to fight his way through the 3 Southern Shiverpeaks with henchmen, since no guildies were available and no one else would let me join their group.
