holy crap!! PvP build owns me!

I was fighting in tombs the other night and we hit our most hated team build, spirit spammers. I like spiking, perhaps cuz that was my introduction to PvP but also as the caller I enjoy the frantic pace combined with the intense coordination required. Spammers tend to be the only ones we have a serious problem with because of fertile season which makes our spikes useless. However we can usually hold out for a while against spammers since our life is 1000+ also, but they generally beat us down slowly and take us out. A few nights ago, when fighting with this spirit team, I called a spike, 3,2, wtf I'm dead. I look at the party window and in seconds all but 3 of us were dead, and they soon after.

Spirit spikers... incredible... I wasn't angry, I was awed. They combined our weakness and our strength and owned us totally. I probably shouldn't be sharing this since it may become a new trend but it was just devastating...

i can't else see where an enormous spike would come from. or quickshot shooters?

You'd probably notice the QS spikers. Might be coordinated air spiking or obs. flame spiking right as fertile season wore off. (They probably time it too)

It was like, exploding arrows or something maybe... I just recall seeing like 3 or 4 of the pink damage notices over my head then I was dead. And perhaps I was exaggerating on how fast the team as a whole went down, but it was the same as air spikers, just one after one dropping...

Might have just been some well timed Qshotting.

there was a guy in my team in the 8v8v8v8v8v8 arena who ran off at the start, dropped edge next to 2 teams fighting it out and both teams died instantly on the chain reaction it caused

interesting that yo mention EoE. for that is how you beat spirit spamming teams. all you have to do is put up an edge or 2 and start killing spirits they all go down real fast then you quickly hit the rangers spamming the spirits. it is not easy but we do it on a pretty regular basis.

im still laughting there are still builds full of air elementalists in the tombs.

The flaw in using EoE to beat spirits: EoE is a spirit and therefore takes damage itself when another spirit dies

but if the spirit is a decent level it should die at the same time as the other spirits I would think...

you need to keep dropping it like it was nature's renewal, that helps your cause even more cause of more spirits falling.

Haha, in Broken Tower I layed down EoE while the other 2 teams were battling, both teams immediately died in a matter of seconds, it was sick.
