He might've seen an eternal sword from a ghost such as Rastigan the Eternal. No, as of right now, these swords are unavailable to players.

crystalin sword is in the shape of a sword you get in presearing as a quest reward, either pitney or devona gives it to you, looks more like an axe then a sword

here's the eternal sword carried by the ghosts and i think the war ghost at destiny's gorge(ill check later).
*This sword is in the strategy guide but not ethereal/eternal in look. Too bad it was not implemented ingame at all.

if your referring to the nearest charac infront of the ghost. that's a monk (me) and I just added some "spikes" along the back and down the charac.
