Intro/Apply Poison

Greetings, All!

My first exposure to GW was at this past BWE - I have to say that I'm simply amazed by this game, so I expect to be meeting some of you in-game.

I do have a question regarding Apply Poison, however.

The description of this preparation says that all attacks will have poison damage applied to them. Is this limited to bow attacks, or would it apply to the use of any weapon or attack spell? Would a Ranger be able to use this in conjunction with a sword, for instance?

I'm 99.9% sure that it only applies to bow attacks... welcome to the boards and to the game.

However, the other skills do go out of their way to say bow attacks and this one does not, but I'm gonna bet that it's only for a Bow... I really haven't tried it, lol... I never really put points in Wilderness Survival so far... although this Next beta, I have new plans.

I pretty sure that Apply Poison does work on swords, axes, etc. one member of my guild played a Ranger/Warrior that used Apply Poison on his sword. My question now is if it works on wands as well.

ya BA i prob told u about it, with my warrior/ranger

apply poison will work with any weapon, atleast it worked with my bow and with the hammer i used, so impretty sure it will work with any weapon, although not sure on wands...?

but ya itll work with bows, and the 3 melee weapons.

Apply Poison works with everything.

Yes, I love Apply Poison on a sword -- between that and Sever Artery, you can get a nice -7 health degeneration going on your opponents while you beat on them...

- This is good to hear, back in the E3FE they'd allowed it, but I remember them having removed the option to coat your melee weapons in the later events, and have always assumed this was still the case until now.
