Is the Tapestry Shred the Wirt's Leg of Guild Wars?

It seems no one knows what this Tapestry Shred does.
I believe that if we keep it until Ascention we will be able to do something cool with it or unlock some secret.
What do you think?


For those who don't already know, Wirt's Leg was an item that you had a chance to aquire early in Diablo 2. It wasn't very good as a weapon, but if you kept it until the end of the game you could use it to create the portal to the secret cow level.

Man 1st time i played that cow lvl was w/ my Necro in Nightmare hardness GOD DAM, i had nightmeres about cows eating skeletons, and being chased be Cows !!!

that would be sooo sweet, if it had a similar feature like the cow level.
cows would be 3d and they would look awesome and scary at the same time.
(1 inch movement out of the entrance portal and the whole swarms rushing u.arggghh ...hehe)

maybe like a charr camp, cows evolved into charrs.

but again. Cows idea is Blizzard's and GW could only do something similar, not completely copy it.

Most fun I ever had (and dont ask me how I managed this) was maxing out on skelies and revived cows (on nightmare, so these things were tough) and annilating Diablo with it

And we all know how the struggle w/ Blizzard right now is going...

Theyve been imploding at a frightnening pace. Only Frozen Throne and WoW are even keeping them alive anymore. If Blizzard really wants to get there shit together, they need to make StarCraft 2. Otherwise, they are finished.

Well they have a FPS for xbox coming out based around starcraft, or did that get cancelled ?

The secret cow level was an in-joke way before it existed in the game. If we want smehting similar in Guild Wars, we need to start making up in-jokes

Theyve been real quiet on that, but ive heard rumors they have been switching 3rd party developers like mad, because none of them "meet expectations." I doubt it will ever see the light of day, which is sad.

But that woudnt save them. THEY NEED ANOTHER SC RTS.

No no, they've just done an RTS (WC3), now it's time for the next RPG, and I mean a real one, not WoW. They NEED to make Diablo 3.

However I believe I just TRASHED that tapestry thing last night....but being the sucker I am.....I'd just HAVE to do the secret level if there was one.. which would mean getting that thing all over....

I guess I missed it the first time through (couldn't wait to get to Post-Searing, especially after not being able to find my necro chest armor), but I would guess that, unless it's customized for your character, you could just make a new guy, get the tapestry, and stick it in your shared vault for your ascended character to get it.

I wonder if the secret Gwen level will have good drops

A secret level sounds all well and good, but I lost my tapestry shred, I put it on the gound then my game froze and logged me out, would anyone know how to get it back?, because I really dont want to miss out on this special level thing....
