WEll, I searched and couldn't find any posts on this subject, so it might just be a problem in my version of Netzero.
The problem is that every time I try to log in to GuildWars, I will get err 5, that I have server probelms and NEtzero will close. IT seems as if the error is causd by NEtzero crashing, but I have no clue how to fix it.
Deos anyone have any ideas, or is any one using Guild Wars and Netzero and it is working fine.
Yeah, I would really like to try this game so, any help is a good thing ^__^

Have you tried contacting technical support yet?
Sarus
Also it seems they were having this same problem here in this thread

Of course I assume netzero is dial up? which means you probably don't have a router.

Yeah, I saw that post and thought that it looked promising, but I only have dial up. (There’s half my problem, lol). I also have tried support, and I am just waiting for their response.
I also know very little when it comes to computers, so even if I had a router, I wouldn't know where to find it. Really, I am just getting into computer games. Well, I'll post if I hear anything from Support, but any other ideas?

Okay, the error has now turned to number 26. IT says it can't find the domain name server.

Just an update and another problem....lol
Well, so it deosn't seem that NEtzero is crashing by itself, more that my signal becomes to weak. Apparently my modem is set to a low speed. Support ahs suggested contacting Netzero and asking them to reduce the niose on the line and to also take other steps to help. THe other steps have not work, though I have not conntacted NEtzero as of yet.
So my question is, for all those with Dial-up modems, are you still able to play fine? Shrugs, I hope this gets figured out soon.

If all else fails, you can always change providers.
Haha... I figured I'd look them up and:
Wow, that might cover two days of my months.
I would suggest looking for another provider. There are ones that offer better service for a set price, instead of saying "You get this for free, but you need to pay for everything after this!"
As a gamer, you want unlimited online time since games will tend to grow on you. 2 hours a day to 5 hours a day, no matter what, it would still be cheaper to go with unlimited for the entire month.
And the first line of their "tiny text" is:
Yes, move on and find someone better. Even MSN is better.
*EndEdit*
And to change your modem options, just go into control panel, modem, and there should be a settings somewhere in there.
If you don't want to fool around with it yourself, call them up and tell them that your a customer that has had problems and you want them solved ASAP. I suggest for the service your paying, you might as well throw your weight around.

The NetZero free service is limited to 10 hours per household per month. The 10-hour per month limit is per household as we assume that each household has only one computer and one phone line. If you are sharing a computer or phone line with other NetZero users, your hourly usage will be aggregated with those users - even if you have separate Member IDs. Virus protection cannot detect or clean all viruses. As described in the terms of service, you are responsible for any damages caused by your decision to download email or attachments. |

WEll...no. I pay for Netzero monthly, like 15 bucks or so, and that is unlimited internet acces for a set fee. As far as the modem settings, I have no clue hwo to adjust the speed.
EnDinG
Rats... I can't remember off hand as to how to adjust the modem speed. Haven't used one in years. -_-
Do a google search for "adjust modem speed" and there should be some help / support forums or websites that tell you how to do it. Shouldn't be any major thing, few clicks.
If it doesn't solve your problem, post back again.

Lol, I solved it, and it was one of the simplest probelms ever. I subscribe to Netzero, and get thier highspeed program. It makes downloads go faster, Webpages go faster.
Well, I was just looking at it and was like, heh, why not diable it and see if that works. Annnnnddd... It did. Turns out that it hogs up my modem and kills the signal everytime I log on. All I have to do is to disable my high speed intrenet and I can play.
Looks like I can finally start playing! ^___^
