Prior to retail 71.20 nVidia drivers worked flawlessly.
Retail:
71.20 drivers worked without sound issues. (I have retested they still work fine for extended periods of time, no need to change any PCI latency). However, the 71.20 drivers give a graphical corruption on the equipped items in the inventory screen.
71.89 nVidia drivers display equipped inventory items without issue. However, they cause a click/pop sound when moving around. This click/pop sound has a reduced frequency of occurance when changing the PCI latency to match the other devices in the system.
I have also tested with a GeForce 6800 GT in the same system.
Based on the description of the sound pops I appear to be having a problem similar to the person in this
thread when using the latest 71.89 drivers from nVidia. I see there has not been a solution to this as yet. I have tried different resolutions in fullscreen mode. I do not run in windowed mode.
