So does anyone wanna explain what tombs is...
I think its the way to HOH? And HOH is pvp across the world. However, is tombs PVp or PVE or some kind of mix?

Tombs is a pvp arena. You can enter it from dragons lair, similair to entering the pvp arenas in yaks bend and lions arch.
It is the only pvp arena where you fight 8vs8, and if your team wins, you earn favor for your region. (usa/korea/europe)
And yes, winning means u get to the final battle at hoh and win.

when you first enter mission, you fight the unworthy undead. the amount of time you take to beat them determines your morale (< 30 seconds is +10, and it goes down from there)
then you enter a series of waiting rooms, usually starting with underworld, which is a simple 8-8 (1 team vs 1 team).
from any of these 'waiting rooms' you can enter the hoh, since entering it is based entirely on when people finish fighting there. there is only '1' hoh, and it is possible to delay a match until you see that message come up, and if your quick about finishing it then you can get sent to the hoh directly from uw.
that is also the only (i believe its the only...) place you can get fame, which is equivalent to rank.

You can also win several maps in a row until you've finished the last one before HoH. Once you won that map (Sacred Temples I believe) you're teleported into a waiting room where you sit until the current HoH match is finished.

ive defeated sacred temples and gotten thrown back to an earlier relic run... or maybe im just halucinating. do you always goto that waiting room?

we did all maps and ended up losing in actual hoh
we waited on vault for 10mins and yes its really kinda hard if ur not ranked
since no one wants u in their group

The vault sux, its definatily bugged I went there and nothing happend for 40 minutes so we all quit

As long as the subject is up, when was this changed?
I just started going back to tombs and was ready to take out the monsters that give moral boosts. Then I saw these ghosts just sitting there waiting and I was left scratching my head.
