Necro/Monk may be good....but in PVP?

Since this is my first post...Hy everyone.
A few weeks ago i started a Necromancer, but since i didn`t know which could be the best secondary profession for such a character i came to this forum to gather some tips`n`tricks about a good build. So I ended up with an Necromancer/Monk Minion Master (raising only Death, SR and Healing) and, as you said, he really rocks in PvE (I can heal my friends while my horrors go around happily kicking asses like kids at the playground).
But...ehm...what about PvP? Am I doomed to be forever useless in it? Or maybe there is a build I can move to once I finished the game (when it will be only PvP for me...).
In PvP there are no corpses (as you all know), and without dead corpses surounding me I feel quite uncomfortable. Any suggestions about what a poor N/Mo can do to get usefull in PvP? (I heard they already are very useful in GvG).

The only thing I can do in PvP is using "Heal Others" (I am Italian...don`t even know if that`s it`s correct english name) to keep my mates alive (or even ressing them).
But as soon as someone notices it, he points his finger at me yelling something I cannot understand to his team mates and, soon after, they are all running after me wielding their weapons and yelling something I cannot understand (again...).

If you have any suggestions about how I could use this character in PvP (maybe a good build) please feel free to post it and let me know.

Thank you everyone (and hy again...)

PS: I play in the Italian district and, statistically speaking, Necromancers are really rare characters (together with Mesmers). Maybe there`s a reason....

What type of pvp are you talking about? In tombs and GvG, death necros do just fine and soul reaping is pretty good.

In 4v4 arena, you should abandon death, soul reaping, and healing. Go primarily curses, with blood as support (or inspiration if you wanna switch to mesmer secondary).

If people are yelling at you for resing them, it may be because you're using a res other then res signet. It can be extremely annoying to have someone res you at 1/4 health only for you to die again, and get themselves killed.

No, actually the one yelling at me are people rom the opposite team I was just kiddin. Ress is ok (Though I don't use Signet, cause I can use it only once).

And I was talking about 4v4 Arenas (I didn't see anything else 'till now).

Thanks for the hints!

always use res sig in 4v4 you can only use it once but your ally get healed to full HP instaed of 25% it puts him right back into the fight instad of having to run away and heal before he can fight again

Necromancer/Monks have several good combos open to them. Overall, however, I'd say you'd be best suited to playing a support character (which Necros and Monks are both quite good at) than an offensive one, considering your choice of secondary proffession.
Here's a couple of good combos to try...
Martyr {E} + Plague Sending = Remove all Conditions from your team, and then dump them on the other team. If you don't have Martyr open to you, Draw Conditions is a suitable substitute.
Blood is Power {E} + various self-heals from Monk secondary = Being a Monk secondary allows you to heal yourself efficiently, something a pure Necromancer lacks. Blood is Power is a very popular support skill, but costly, since it requires that you sacrifice 1/3 of your life. But by using various self-heals, you can use BiP and other sacrifical skills much more efficiently than other, non-Monk Necros, giving you an edge. Other sacrificial support skills to look at include Blood Ritual, Order of Pain, and Order of the Vampire, all of which can be found in the Blood Magic line.
Various protection spells + various touch-damage Necro skills = Necromancers have many highly useful melee or area-of-effect spells and skills that, unfortunately, can't be used in most builds due to a Necro's inherently low defense. If you use your Monk secondary to bolster your defense, however, you now have several more options open to you. Take a good, hard look at the Protection Prayers line, along with skills like Vile Touch, Touch of Agony, Plague Touch, Chillblains, Dark Aura, etc.
Good luck in the Arenas.

I wouldn't worry about this class too much, it has huge potential. Capture all the elites and try using them.

Thank you FiveDisgruntledMonkeys,
that`s really the kind of answer I expected to obtain in such a forum.

So, at least now I KNOW that I can be someone even without dead people all around my feet .

Thanks, again.
