Hi, I am off to get my copy in a min, but having read the online manual it seems that to move you have to click the ground in a similar style to old point and click RPG's, or use the keyboard.
I dont have very good control of my left hand, so games like WoW / EQ2 etc are great as I can move and look and fight without needing to resort to putting down the mouse and using the keyboard (not good in a live enviroment!)
So, is there anyway to configure the mouse in game to move me forward and let me look around?
Thank you
Advice on movement in GW please

I'm not sure if you can configure the mouse wheel to move forwards and back instead of zoom..I'd try it for you now, but the server here at work won't let me on areana net...blast! I can tell you, however...you can look around pretty well by right clicking the mouse and changing view while holding the button down...between that and clicking the ground, you can navigate pretty well...In PvE, I tend to play this way during dinner..eating left-handed, playing right-handed...If someone else isn't better help to you, I'll check out the config for forward movement this afternoon..good luck and happy hunting!
By the way, I think they make game pads based on the WASD pattern of the keyboard...If you have minimal use of your left hand, you can place one of these in a more accessable position, if for nothing else, to hit W to move forward without having to make the reach...my cousing was born with a poorly formed left hand (short arm, no thumb) and uses a pad instead of the keyboard...kicked my butt in Halo.

You can also click at the spot you want to go to and you will go there. Say clicking on the ground infront of you 20 feet will make you go there. Clicking an an item or person from a ways away will make your character walk to that item or person.

You can hold both mouse buttons to move forward and "drive".... I haven't seen a way to run backwards though.

Thanks guys, I got my copy today and it seems to work just fine with the mouse. The only problem I have now is trying to not use it like WoW, and trying to click my left mouse button to look and end up running off!
Appreciated your comments and help

I find the click to move very annoying, so I turned it off.
However, there is an option that lets you walk forward automatically by double pushing the walk forward button (w).
I like to use that and then hold the right mouse button to steer and just hit back (s) to stop.
