Sir Tydus will not give me any quest to leave nobbie land

Level 8 ranger stuck in pre-s I have no quests in my quest log I have done all that I could find except 2nd profession ones I have not decided on a second profession yet. I have all the skills given byt the Ranger trainer outside the Ascalon gates, Ivor trueshot in Regent Valley, and Aidan in the fishing village.
I have submitted a Trouble Ticket to NC but any and all thoughts are welcomed and apreciated.

When you are ready to leave, he will not have that glowy green above his head. You just go up and talk to him and he tells you about it and you can choose to leave or stay.

Make sure you did all required quests before trying to leave, i'm sure it's not a bug.

Thanks but I have done any quest I could find and when I talk to him the only option I get is the ok sorry for bugging you one. At level 8 there wasn't much else to do but quests since the mobs don't give much xp.

Might be that he requires you to have a second profession now.

Yes Rex, that is the case. Here is the response I got from NC techsupport and in a very timely manner my hat is off to them

Hello Mike,
In order to be able to leave the "newbie" area you will need to make sure that you have chosen a second profession and are not just testing another profession. Please let us know if this is not the case.

Well, that's a new change. Probably a good one, too, if you ask me. But, yeah, Tydus isn't really very clear about it, is he?
