Hi guys,
I am going to be purchasing a laptop over the next few weeks and wanted some advice on this. I have £650-700 to spend (prefereably no more if poss) and wanted to know where I could look for a laptop that would run GW well.
I;m in the UK BTW.
I've checked out site like www.novatech.co.uk and similar, but they always seem to have SIS or shared VGA, which I know can be a no no sometimes.
Ideally I know I need 512mb, and I would like a DVD-R of some desciption, and a HDD around 60GB or larger.
Please, please, please if you have any sugestions on a laptop that will fit the above price and will run GW let me know.
TIA all,

Look @ guildwars box, then look @ minimum requirements, just get w/e is alil or alot better then the minimum requirement, and spend MUCh as you can not all ur money i mean like the most u can pay on it so later u can get other games that can play on that as well.. i would just get something even better then the recommended requirements...

^^ good advice you don't want to get something that just meets requirements. get a notebook computer that is highest above minium requirements and closest to the amount of money you want to spend.

Thanks guys, athgouh I do know the above :-)
I was actually looking for people who have ideas of where I can buy a laptop fitting the above price and spec and / or particular models.
I know it sounds like I am asking u all to do the work for me but I've been searching for ages and can't find anything. I was sure there must have been someone out there in the same position as me that can advise me on the laptops they purchased.
Thanks agian for help all

Give me some time to search, If I find something fitting your price range, I'll be sure to let you know
Look here:
http://www1.euro.dell.com/content/pr...hs1&l=en&s=dhs
This will take you to the Euro Dell site, Look at the Inspiron 6000, its within your range and is highly customizable. You can upgrade HD size, vid card, RAM, ect... and still be within your price range. Let me know if you have any more questions.
(Yes i am a DELL advocate, ive bought over 500 for my company and have only had a problem with 2 )
