how many profession can we make
Love_This15
Yes i have a question how many professions can we have im used to playing Diablo so if everyone know we can have alot of Charcter's so i was wondering how many can we make or are we only able to have one profession Charcter to play with Thanks.

Currently, Guild Wars limits the number of characters to 4 per account (you can delete and create a new character at any time). There are 6 different professions and each character can have 2 professions (dual-classing), so for a total of 30 profession combinations.

thanks because ive been looking and i didnt know.
Dovi the Monk
yep 4 chars per account
although in my opinion i think we should be able to create more, i mean tehre is 30 combinations, and we can only hve 4...?
its troublesome picking and chosing which builds to use, i might end up buying to accounts if thats possible...?

the guildwars site faq states 4 characters (at this time subject to change) per account and each new account is created by the purchase of an additional full game

It wouldn’t be a bad idea if you could buy additional account say $5 per additional account. This would be cheaper than buying a whole new game (and possibly more lucrative for ANet).

But then people would burn or download the game, then buy a 5$ account. Or if they had some way of making it only so current users could buy another, a friend could pay me $5 to buy him another account. So yea.. iono how that would work.

as stated on this question each sale is one account and the example given in the interview was a father daughter and niece who wanted to play together with their own characters as a team not taking turns
answer was with 3 people using separate pcs you are using 3x bandwidth and since it is online only that involves a cost per person
for a few people it would be negligable but multiply that by half a million or more and we are talking serious money

My bad, sorry.

I agree, there should be more characters. In GW there's so many ways to play that people should expierence tons of it. But I'll only need one. Unless I get bored of course...then I'll do something kick ass like Necromancer.
Answer: 4 characters, and I dont think you can change jobs at will like FFXI.

More character slots would be nice. In Diablo II, I think you were able to make 10 or so, give or take a couple. In FFXI, you can have up to 16 characters, but on top of the $12 or so you pay for it per month, each addition character is an extra $1 per month.

thats why i only have 2... main and mule. course you dont need characters, because you can change jobs at will...
