Ithas Bow and Rangers in Genral

Well, as far as the Ithas Bow, the preorder item from EBGames.com, is weak compared to the stats you need to use it. Why is that? I mean, you won't be able to put in any skill points into a second profession if you want to use it, and the damage to skill requirments is pretty low. And a ranger is suppose to be one of the best characters in the game, and from what I have seen so far, they are one of the, if not, the weakest, and wouldn't be able to hold their own when it comes to PvP battles, they couldn't during the beta weekend events, even with a pet. Damage with bows to skill level ratio needs to be better, and the armor stats needs to be a little better.

And the price I paid for the preorder of the game, and the quality of the bow, I feel it wasn't worth it.

Suggestion: A patch should be released, and soon, for the ranger to make it a better character and more fun to play. For during the beta weekends, I was getting killed as a ranger more often than other characters not a ranger at my level.

I do plan on eventually using all the other classes, its just that the ranger just sucks for what it says the skills are. So get off your high horse and look at reason, if you are able to.

the ranger does not suck, the char classes are all extremely well balanced for an online RPG, (well, the necro sucks at PvP, but thats it). They just have different play styles, and some characters dont work too well at early levels. give it time and then start comparing the classes. They are not defined by their weapons like some games i know (Diablo 2) but they are very much focused on skill synergy and build creation.

all characters in the game are perfectly balanced. Necros can be good at PvP, rangers can seriously pwn. You just have to think of a good build. This isnt diablo 2. You dont level up, max out a area and can 1 shot everyone. It takes strategy and planning. Also the right combo of attributes. If you think otherwise you might as well go back to diablo 2 and send them constant emails about how much nova sorcs suck now.

The price you paid for the preorder of the game? For the preorder only? You mean.. free?

You realize that the money you pay for the preorder gets deducted from the price of the final product? And.. if you actually *did* pay more for the preorder (unless you live in a country outside of the US that had absolutely NO way to preorder, and had to import from the US) I'm sorry, but that's not ANet's fault, or problem.

So yes, if you think that getting a item by paying 0 dollars for it isn't worth it, you were cheated.

from what someone was telling me who i was partied with, Itha's bow becomes powerful, doing a guarenteed 40 damage each shot to everything without using skills. However this person did seem a bit of an idiot so I'll reserve my judgement for the moment

My ranger and my bfs do not suck thank you :P Seriously, if you think your ranger sucks go find a skill trainer and get a few more skills. I know of one 'ranger only' combination that works brilliantly, although i mainly use my mesmer skills now
