15k armour or wait...?

Hi all,

I am a ranger currently at Marhan's Grotto and am wearing a mix of desert collector armour and slightly less AL armour. I have almost got enough for the 15K p/piece druids armour from Marhan's but don't know whether to wait for the fissure armour.

Also, anyone have any idea if the update will bring with it new armour?

Obviously I don't want to waste my money, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't bother saving up for Fissure armor. It would take about a year...if that. Only people who played the game before everything got nerfed were able to save that much money. For JUST ONE piece of Fissure armor your gonna need :

45 Obsidian Shards (avg 5k each = total 225,000 gold)
45 Globs of Ectoplasm (avg 10k each = total 450,000 gold)

TOTAL = 675k

Obsidian Shards are found in Fissure of Woe and Globs of Ectoplasm are found in Underworld. It would be quicker and easier to collect them but the drops are EXTREMELY rare.

My advice would be to spend your money on the armour at Marhans Grotto then go from there. Good Luck

I had kind of made up my mind to do that, but wanted reassurance that I wouldn't be wasting my HARD-EARNED gold on them. I am going for the Marhan's Druid armour I think as it has the best stats of them all in my opinion.

Anyone disagree with this opinion? Any reasons for buying a different armour to druids?

And I thought that the Citadel 15K armor was expensive... ugh, farming just isn't fun enough to spend time in.

Well, personally, after seeing what materials are needed for the fissure armour, I don't really see the point, when the stats are EXACTLY the same as the Marhan's 15k armour...

Unless of course, the stats are better on fissure armour? Is that the case?

If you really want a 15k armor, then buy the one at marhan or at granit. Personnaly, the armor in droknar's are just fine (and way less expensive)

yes.... all FoW armor iis AL 200, with +20 health & +20 energy!!

Fissure armor has the same stats as the 15K & 1.5K armor. The point to it is to have a different "look" than the 1.5K or 15K armor. If you have the time to farm or buy/sell to get the money & material's.. and you want to look different than the 15K armor's.. your only option is fissure armor.

depends how good your cashflow is i make quite some money with selling stuff, so i'm saving up for fissure armor ... started saving for it roughly 2 weeks ago and i already have over 1/5th of the ecto/shards needed. i buy my shards and ecto when price is low (8-9k for ecto and 4.5k for shards). This will prolly keep me occupied for quite some time, but then again, apart from some skillunlocking, i have nothing left to do in pve ... (finished the game 4 times already)

This is only my first character through the game and I am not past Marhans...

So, I think I have plenty of time to save the rest if I just get the rest of the collector armour from the desert collectors for now or buy at droknars.

Hey Aismailuk . Check out this post before you buy that armor if you havn't already. It shows you the four different types or 15k armor for the ranger....thanks to Van the Warrior.

Thanks Satire - any with postings of all female ranger armour? Thats what my character is.

I'm really torn as to whether to save and save and save for the fissure armour, or if it is truly not worth it...
