Echo and Arcane Echo...

I've heard a lot about "Echo" and "Arcane Echo". Are they skills you can get? Or do you just get a chance to use them after your attribute in a certain element is high enough?

Both are Mesmer skills, both mimic the next spell you use so you can use it two times for 20 seconds. This doesn't sound so powerful at the start, but can get real nasty with the right spells.

The difference between Arcane Echo and Echo is (besides the later being an elitespell and costing less energy) the capability to mimic signets and skills alike (Echo) not just spells.
Both Spells are unlinked, so no matter how high or low your attribute in the mesmer skills is it just won't change the way these two spells work. But be careful, in the timespan between Echo Spell and second spell it does count as an enchantment which can get removed. But as soon as your second spell is cast, echo replaces itself with it and you can use it alike.

I tried to use Echo to copy SoC. Alas it did not work

echo is an elite skill you get from a boss outside of ember light camp. you can buy arcane echo at bettletun. they both do the same thing but echo only takes 5 energy while arcane takes 15 energy. if you're an ele, pri or sec and planning to use both echo spells, bring along glyph of lesser energy for those high costing energy spells like firestorm and meteor shower.
