Yes, in this thread you can tell what you unlocked via the PvP weekend faction rewards!
In the first 30 minutes (Mostly made up of terrible random groups that didn't know how to press "T") I unlocked a minor Swordsmenship Rune!
Faction gained so far: About 1,200!
Most of the games I've played so far have only been one kill and then our team gets whiped out.
I've gotten two teams to four wins but other than that the random masses just aren't good enough to know how to listen to called targets, read the chat, use their skills or come up with a build that works.
(This is for everyone to particpate in, thanks.. o.o)

I've unlocked a couple of minor runes so far. My aim for the weekend is to unlock as many runes as possible. I've already had about half the runes unlocked with this account and would like to finish off at least a couple of classes by the end of this weekend.

11,000 faction unlocked yesterday...nothing today because of the lag. I can't do anything related to the Arena.
Yesterday i unlocked a few staff/sword upgrades and two ranger elites. Sadly realised that the skills i unlocked with my PvE character are not applied to my PvE character.

Heh it's not much help to me, I've unlocked everything for a W and Mo long before this xPvp. I have nearly 10k still saved up for other characters if I should ever decide to play another. I guess this is great for the more casual players who can only play a few hours at a time.

played about 12 hours so far this weekend and spent about 29k faction.
even with the lower faction rewards i think random is best as you dont have to wait to form a team and playing as a monk you make the team good enough to win.
and when you lose its less than 30 seconds till your fighting again. unlike HoH when the group just about allways break's up

Kudos to ANET for this great weekend!
Unlocks: several runes that have been taunting me for months, the +5 insightful staff upgrade, max defense staff upgrade, 10/10 sundering bowstring, and 10% furious sword hilt.
More importantly, I'm remembering how to play my Mesmer. Now that NR is only really good, my Mesmer rocks again.

Doing a reasonable amount of GvG on friday and saturday netted me about 80k in faction. Went bonkers unlocking every rune and all the worthwhile weapon mods (zealous, defese, vampiric, enchant length), and then started grabbing all the good elites.
Combined with the 40 skill points in 55 monk farming I did I should be good to go for a while.
To be honest this is the most fun I've had in GW since ... the betas. In fact, it almost feels like the betas.

Now all they need to do is every weekend all the npc merchants items like runes and rare materials are 100gp ea for the entire weekend. Heh wouldn't that piss off the farmers then? lol

Well thanks to PvP Extreme I have unlocked major and Superior Absorption, 3:1 Vampiric Sword Hilt, and Major Vigor all in one day.
I had never played PvP much untill this event. I saw that you got 5x faction so I figured now was a great time to start and get some faction while I was at it. I had recently created a W/Mo so I had a fairly good amount of skills to start with. I used my build from Role Playing to start with. I did faily ok with it but I knew it wouldn't cut it in hardcore PvPing. I used the Pre-made Paladin build so I could get Healing Hands because I hadn't unlocked it in Role Playing yet. My build thus far is:
Healing Prayers: 9
Smiting Prayers: 0
Protecting Prayers 0
Strength: 4 (+1 minor)
Axe Mastery: 0
Hammer Mastery: 0
Swordsmanship: 12
Tactics: 9
Resurrect
Sever Artery

I don't know if this would be considered a "good" build or not, but I enjoy it and can a fare share of damage with it.
I sometimes switch up Gash and Hamstring with Galrath Slash and Final Thrust. Sometimes the adrenaline needed henders me but sometimes it doesnt.
Thanks to PvP Extreme I LOVE PvP now and plan to continue playing it. It has owned my eyes to a while new area in Guild Wars. Thank you again

Im glad that this event has opened the eyes of pvers.
Let me help you out with your build though. If your a warrior, dont bring any healing spells. smart teams know to go for casters first, and if your getting attacked, that means your team is already lost. Go with all out attack skills.

the one thing i do have to complain about the pvpx weekend was the gvg. with all of the top guilds faction farming it just wasnt fun as we got steamrolled 9/10 times by guilds in the top 50 who had created guilds especially to farm faction.

yes, i think pvp weekend was great!! i made about 50k faction, but thats cuz i always had a set group... i loved it. 20 faction per kill...

Yeah, it was so freaking fun, got a lot of faction, had a lot of fun, met some cool people, and some huge idiots, but all in all, I loved it.

It was great overall! Made 6k faction, but unfortunately I have exams on monday to friday.... So that means my faction earning was cut! Managed to unlock some stuff still though!! More PvP Extreme events!!!
