I like the new update, but when I saw the change to hex breaker, I screamed 'Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo' and got funny looks from my family. I thought my days of (ab)using HB with my monk were over, but then I started to realize that this isnt THAT bad:

Hex Breaker used to be godly. I would put it on my monk with 1 domination magic and smile as it brutally denied more than 75% of hexes thrown at me. Frag nubs, Migraine Mesmers, everything. I was safe from it, becuase at 1 domination magic HB lasted 68 seconds. Well, instead of 60....~infinity, its now 15....90. That means no more abusing HB while not investing hardly anything in domination. While I think many HB monks may shy away now, and go for alternative paths (I think boon monks may become more popular) but HB is still usable.

My old attribute setup was 11+3, 10+2, 10, 1. In the new patch HB isnt worth crap at 1 Dom, but but dropping from 11/10/10/1 to 10/10/10/5, I can still use HB. Im not sure exactly, but 5 domination should push HB way beyond 30s. That would be good enough for me. I could still have the same DF by switching the runes around so the final atts look like 10+4, 10+1, 10, 5. HB's duration was sick with 0 dom before. Its duration is decent with 5 dom now.

Also, this is not actually a huge decrease in the monks overall power, since all you have given up is 1 point in healing (or prot, whichever). Also, since no nerf was applied to HB damage, forcing HB users to pump dom a little will result in HB actually hurting, instead of dealing a paltry ~15 damage.

If HB only lasted 10 seconds it would still be useful. No amount of nerfing can make this skill anything but one of the best.
