I pre-ordered so I played on the 27th, but I only put my beta code in to play. I figured this was normal because the 27th was for pre-orders so the retail code wouldn't be used. But today I expected to have to reintall the game with the retail cd and plug in the retail code. But, the game just works. It's working fine and I havn't even opened my retail box yet. I'm not complaining, but it's just a little surprising that this would happen.

well if the key that you used was a pre-order, then it is a valid key for the game permanently, and you have already downloaded all the content so it should be fine. Its kinda handy

That is incorrect. You will have to put in your retail access key starting at 12:01 AM April 29th (GMT-8). Your beta access code is not permanent, but it allowed 48 hours of gameplay, starting at 12:01 AM on April 27th.

You're right, but those with the pre-key will not have to re-install the game (as was implied by the first poster). You can actually add the retail key now, there is a menu on the first screen.

Oh ok, I thought I would have to use the retail key starting at 12:01 on the 28 not the 29. Thanks.

I was under the impression that the retail verion had all the content on the disks so it would be a good idea to install the retail version anyways just so you don't have to wait much between areas.
