Can You play With the Dl Client?

Sorry if this is answered, but can't find it (im blind).
I have my friend's copy and Im busy so I can't travel around. My question is can he play with only the client if he has the real cd key? or dose he need to install Guild Wars with the Cds?

Have your friend goto http://www.guildwars.com/downloads/clientdownload.html and download the installer file. Once the needed files are downloaded, he'll be able to launch GW and create an account with the CD key. He won't need the disks to play the game, but hope he has a fast connection to download the content.
