Ideas for UW solo ranger?

since everyone's up for soloing the UW, has anyone found a way for Rangers to solo in the underworld? post ideas here.

Throw Dirt and Dust Trap seem like a good place to start. Then some evasion skills naturally.

I messed around with those two skills in UW and the energy cost (even with high expertise) of Dust Trap just killed my energy. Of course I was also using QZ so I could always be in some sort of stance. Stances alone werent enough since they could still hit me, therefore I tried stacking them with the blinds.
It's just a mess trying to time everything... but it can be done.. someone can probably refine it better, I just didnt have the platinum to waste on trying too many times.

You're missing the point. Dust trap was suggested because of the blind. Throw Dirt and Dust trap to theoretically keep everything blind most of the time.
OR maybe you suggested spike trap and barbed trap to kite...

Kite with Barbed/Spike/Flame Trap? As long as you can get a nice circle to run around in i'd imagine you can constantly kite 3-4 of them.

sure, even I can solo with a ranger with some practice... try something like this:
oath shot, throw dirt, epidemic, [block/evasion stance of choice], another stance, dust trap, flame trap, barbed trap////// or 3 damage dealing spells. i wouldnt suggest wasting the money trying in underworld, but it might be a fun idea if you get a free ride there.

guys, you all are thinking in the wrong direction. If ataxes is doing so much dmg physically, why not change their damage type. Here's the build i come up with. The goal is to change all physical dmg to fire dmg. And use mesmer's skill to reduce the fire dmg to minimal.
Mantra of flame(stance): reduce fire dmg to 40~%, you gain 1 energy everytime you got hit by fire dmge
Greater conflagration(spirit): all physical dmg is changed to fire dmg
The thing is even if you can survive the constant bashing from ataxes, you still won't do enough dmg to kill them fast enough. So soloing UW with ranger is very unlikely.

I tried to solo the UW with my Ranger and that was the main problem for me, I used Greater Conflag and mantra of flame along with a suit of drakescale and throw dirt + whirling defence but I couldn't do enough damage.

Actually, within the last week or so, I did see a post here I believe that gave a Ranger soloer build. I dont remember then name, but give a search or something. It looked good
