absorption placement

i was reading a thread about armour and where best to put what armour etc.

and i was thinking where would be best to put an absorption rune? as the chest takes more hits than anyother place on the bodt it would seem sensible to put it there. but does it even matter where you put it. does it affect your whole body anyway??
