Easiest way to make this game skill-based

Make skill points around 2k exp each to get. In doing so, you can buy the skills from other classes once you reach the desert without having to go through the game again so we can start to PVP easier.

Now this argument comes up: We either would have had to go through this game again with 2 other characters or not experience the other character builds to play through the game with.

Now my oppinion is, why not make it so that once you have enough skills from a second set, you can change your primary profession. Then make it so that you can only capture skills and other elite skills with your new primary profession. Now you may think, what about your clothes? Well we could easily change your title to something like, (Me) E/Mo or what not so we can see what your class clothes are from, but then give them the attributes of the armour they would be just in your old primary look.

Now there are some other things I haven't discussed, but feel free to ask them, I have answers for them. It's just not skill anymore when you're going through the game with 3 characters. It's just useless to force you to go through the game so many times just play the game you intended to play from the start -- the PVP and skill based.

EDIT!!!!

You can only gain a certain amount of skill points with one primary profession. If you want to gain more, you'll have to change primary so you can get points for another profession. This way you can't stick with one profession and would be similar as going through the game with different character types. Since all armour costs the same, just make armour traders or clothes exchangers so that you can swap your armour for the same armour of another primary profession with the same dyes and everything for you.

Changing primary profession doesn't get much support around here buddy.

I do agree with purchasing skill points, but that degrades the term "skill" point.

Tough, end-game quests with a choice of any skills to unlock are the key IMO. Finish the quest, and choose the skills you want to learn...simple. Nothing worse than a quest reward that gives you an already known skill
Another solution is to allow faction to buy PvE skills.
Why can't we do that already? It just doesn't make sense.

The current system does nothing to benefit the PvE player who occasionally plays arena...instead they are forced to continue grinding for skills in PvE which are continually "balanced" supposedly for everyones benefit.

Getting pretty bored since the update to tell the truth...hurry up with the phantom zones and "great rewards" Anet.

Well, I'm all for changing the skill point reward to 2k EXP, but leave the profession thing alone.

P.S. Kai Nui, are you from New Zealand?

Nope, Hawaii. You're not the first to ask that though, the polynesian areas are similar in languages.

do you know how much gold it would cost you to get all the skills in the game on one character? Right now I have used my Mo/Me to unlock every Mo and Me skill, as well as about 13 Ele skills, and 1 or 2 others. Current cost per skill: 850 gold and rising.

You would basically be replacing skill farming with good ol' fashion gold farming. Fun Fun Fun

Oh yeah, and decrease the price of signets of capture since those will be used more. Forgot to mention that.
