Guild lord ganking is the stupidest thing ever. Sure you can get a lot of faction, but it defeats the entire purpose of GvG, IMO.

If we wanted a real GvG match, we'd play a real GvG match. If we want faction and tons of it, we're going to gank. Pretty simple, really.

You'll get a good amount of faction and guild rating just by standing by your Guild Lord right now. Lots of faction farmers makes it a possible strategy. Unfortunately you'll occasionally run into other lord camping teams, or (heaven forbid) teams that actually want to fight, and then what are you going to do? Actually fight? =(

Ganking might be easy to stop, but somehow people still manage to fall for it. My guildmates and myself have pulled off over one hundred successful lord ganks so far this weekend. Make of that what you will.

Anyways the gankers are doing what they are susposed to do. Arena.net created PvP Extreme weekend to test the changes as fast as possible. They are encouraging people to abuse anything and everything so they can find out what needs fixed.

The guild lord ganking got so out of hand that we switched to anti gank. You would actually get more faction that way. Then we realized that most of the guilds are so bad that we just steamroll them and kill their guild lord in about 5 minutes. Much more effective than ganking at this point. If we couldn't win the intial matchup then we would just quit out.

Love the faction and as far as I can tell everyone is having a blast. Oh ... and no we weren't playing under the iQ tag
