This bug is irritating me!
Paine
Hi!
I could need some help with this issue. My Guild Wars is currently running under a "Low Priority" which makes the game to hack
( not smooth )
When I try to change it to normal, it changes back to low priority by itself.
I have no viruses/trojans etc.
Scanned with Norton Anti-Virus 2005 and Spybot S&D.
My computer
AMD 64, 3600+
Ram: 2 GB
Harddrive: 350 GB
Video card: ATI X800 TX, 256 MB
My computer should run this game with no problem.
All people I know and everyone in my guild are experiencing the same problem.
For Windows users only
1. Go to Start --> Run
2. Type taskmgr
3. Click on your process list
4. While in game, right click on GW.exe and check your current game priority.
Note! You must be playing the game ( ingame view )
When you're playing in the game for example tombs, check your current game priority please.
I think this is an in-game bug. I'd like a solution to this issue please.
Thanks in advance.

Hmm, you're right about the low priority. However, i've got a less powerful machine than you
(a64 3200, 1gb ram, gf6800oc)
and I don't notice this hack problem you speak of (not that I understand what you mean, but I haven't had any problems of late) so I doubt the priority setting is whats doing it.

this something i get too, when you switch to normal its great for like 5 mins, until it switches back (!)
it makes the screen ridiculously choppy, horribly annoying when i use TS or vent because its a chore to type when everything is lagging like hell.

Its not a bug, it does that on purpose. Its designed to be more user friendly when your minimized ect. I personally like it because my computer isnt good enough (memory or video card dont remember) and i have to run it on low priority. lowest quality, and windows mode,:P
Run it in windows mode on lowest quality(sure it looks bad but honestly, if you play a game for graphics then you wont have a computer that cant handle GW)

I haven't actually checked whether it's running at low or normal priority but the game runs extremely smooth on my pc. No issues whatsoever here. No err=7 etc and no lag. Running on ATI and AMD too and in full screen mode.
Do you have cool & quiet enabled?

heehee i like resing old posts.
anyway yea gw is fine (mostly, except this one time when i get error 7 spikes, but thats probably the connect not gw). trouble is when you make the screen non max, click over to another program (like vent) and start doing something, the whole comp starts to lag out. changing the priotity fixes that but its never permanent.

The reason it is in low priority mode is because you have the window not selected. Before making new posts please search for old ones already made on the same topic.
It's not a bug, get over it.
