As you progress to each new area, it gets lonelier and lonelier. Less and less people are there. I miss the days when you could actually find people to group with. I can't wait until it is populated again with the beta. I understand that it is still new of release obviously, and it will take time for others to progress, but seeing less than 10 people in Denravi is depressing. Hurry up and level so I can group with everybody!
Kind of lonely...

I was reading the manual at work today, and it mentioned that you can BUY skills at tradeposts and in towns--is this true!? I know you can't from the merchants in the pre-searing world, but maybe later; can anyone confirm this?
I suppose this would take some fun out of those skill-based missions, but then again, it would save us the hassle of trying to track down that last trainer...actually, I like the missions. But this is what the manual said.

In Post-Searing, you can both buy skills from trainers AND do certain quests that give you skills.
The amount of skills you can buy from trainers has decreased dramastically, so be warned if you get your hopes up by looking at a GW fansite like this one to see where you can get that "awesome" skill you watned. Information at the sites may not be updated yet.

Oh, so there's a system behind their lists?
Thanks for that info, spiritofcat
That explains why some people on our forum went "aah, the Ascalon trainer doesn't sell ANY skills to me" while I saw several. I guess one was more careful to do quests than the other.
Anyway, outposts seem to also have some trainers with additional skills not found elsewhere. I found several skills by the trainer at Grendich Courthouse for example.
Mhenlo has two skill quests -- one for healing, another for smiting.
Grazden the Protector has one quest -- one for protection.

| That's odd, as then that would mean there's actually now 3 Monk trainers in pre-searing. |
