As you progress to each new area, it gets lonelier and lonelier. Less and less people are there. I miss the days when you could actually find people to group with. I can't wait until it is populated again with the beta. I understand that it is still new of release obviously, and it will take time for others to progress, but seeing less than 10 people in Denravi is depressing. Hurry up and level so I can group with everybody!

I explored about every area and did all professions quests among others, and at level 6 I left. It just got boring there.

I got to lvl 6, did a good amount of quests, and left that place. It's fun, but was boring after a while. Post-searing is so much better.

There are, to the best of my knowledge, only 4 ranger trainers in pre-searing Ascalon. You might want to consider moving on.

.. all in pre-searing ascalon.. that's atleast wat it says here : http://www.guildwarsguru.com/content...city-id547.php

I was reading the manual at work today, and it mentioned that you can BUY skills at tradeposts and in towns--is this true!? I know you can't from the merchants in the pre-searing world, but maybe later; can anyone confirm this?

I suppose this would take some fun out of those skill-based missions, but then again, it would save us the hassle of trying to track down that last trainer...actually, I like the missions. But this is what the manual said.

In Post-Searing, you can both buy skills from trainers AND do certain quests that give you skills.

The amount of skills you can buy from trainers has decreased dramastically, so be warned if you get your hopes up by looking at a GW fansite like this one to see where you can get that "awesome" skill you watned. Information at the sites may not be updated yet.

The Skill merchants now only sell skills that you could have found in quests in the previous area, so when you get to post-searing ascalon you can buy any skills you didn't get for free from quests in pre-searing, but if you got them all then he'll have nothing to offer to you.

That's odd, as then that would mean there's actually now 3 Monk trainers in pre-searing.

Oh, so there's a system behind their lists?
Thanks for that info, spiritofcat

That explains why some people on our forum went "aah, the Ascalon trainer doesn't sell ANY skills to me" while I saw several. I guess one was more careful to do quests than the other.

Anyway, outposts seem to also have some trainers with additional skills not found elsewhere. I found several skills by the trainer at Grendich Courthouse for example.

Mhenlo has two skill quests -- one for healing, another for smiting.
Grazden the Protector has one quest -- one for protection.

I did Grazden's and both of Mhenlo's quests (help Paulas and kill some the mobs in the field), yet I have the following skills available for purchase in Ascalon: Symbol of Wrath, Retribution and Guardian.

Can anyone else confirm this?

OMG, you're higher level than I am and I'm questing out of Yak's Bend...Come through the academy, there are more skills on this side, and it'll be a breeze - you'll be getting 0 XP from nearly everything for a while.
