is this quest broken or am i just doing it wrong,
your supposed to kill the eater of souls but as soon as i get close to him he dissapers under the dirt again and then wave after wave of jad scarabs come swarming around me and it doesn't seem like there is ever an end to these waves, and i never see the eater of souls again
can anybody help me with this or give me some advice?

just hang out and kill all those buggers after like 4-5 waves then the main boss shows up. it just takes some pataince and you might have to hunt around to find the boss. it is not broken just long.

is it possible with hench, because it is very difficult to find a group for this quest as most the people in elona's reach are doing the mission. i killed the first 2 waves and then all my henchman died, which made no sense to me why because i didn't have to much trouble with the first 2

I would suggest pulling them if you can. I did with henchies but was hard, I did it by pulling them would get 2-4 from the group of 4-6. Made it easier for me but thats what worked for me.

its very possible with hench. I see that you have a R/N so I would advise spamming well of blood since the jades get rid of any enchantments, WoB is a spell so it keeps your hp high and takes some strain of the healer hench. Thats how I beat it!

The quest is to change your second profession to monk and I think you get it from seekers passage I could be wrong on location so sorry if I am.

just to confirm, yes you do get this quest from seekers passage and you can find the eater of souls just outside of elona's reach.

The trick to this one is to not aggro every scarab under the sun. Take your time and yeah, some Necro wells will make things sooooo easier.
