Sorrow Furnace Armor Questions.

Hey, Ive been hearing of the new Sorrows Furnace area and that the armor is seriously gonna kick some butt, but what I would like to know is if any source has given any specific information on the armor?

Is it going to be like FoW Armor? Expensive materials and hard to obtain, or will it like be another Draknors? Just different looks.

The situation im in now is that I have saved and already got my FoW Chestpiece for my Warrior. Currently have enough for the Leggings + Helmet. I just love the Warrior Fissue Armor and will get it by the end of the week and im just hoping that anet doesnt make the Sorrows Furnace armor much nicer at a cheaper price.

What I plan to do is on my Warrior get the FoW full set and when Sorrows Furnace comes out and if its "awesomely sexy" ill grab a set for my Pve monk.

Any ideas here? Any pics released? If not then should I just go ahead and get the rest of my FoW?

Nothing is known about any type of SF armors to date. All that's inferred is that they'll be part of the "new items" Anet is talking about... I haven't heard a definite word that armor is included.

There is suspicion that if there is a crafter in Sorrow's Furnace, that the armor there will require Ruby, Saphires, or maybe even Monstrous Claws/Fangs. Since these items have no current use in the game except reselling for gold, it's a decent assumption.

There are also rumblings about changes being made to FoW armor to make them statistically different than Forge 1.5k armors, but with the addition on some kind of penalty to even out the bonus.

Yea. I can imagine how dissapointed people would be if they own a FoW set and Sorrows Furnace has 100times better armor for the same price. Heh, but I guess it doesnt hurt to be 1337 and have a set of both (Platemail and Glads) depending on what you need for your quest or something..

When is the release of SF? Heard in a week or so, 9days? I cant wait, hoping Ill be on during the update, get on quick and buyout some stuff that may have been reset.. thatd be something.

I still remember this statement coming from Anet that went something along the lines ... and you with obsidian armor, you are next ...

I think that there is a chance that a crafter in Sorrows Furnace will simply modify/upgrade existing FoW armor.

i also hope ANET don't create armours requiring saphires and rubies in sorrows, because they will simply become even more rare than FoW armour and the price of these will shoot up just like did and we'll have prices higher then ecto was before the price reset!!

That would be neat if SF armour is merely FoW armour that is improved. That would make a little happier that I spent the time to gather the materials for it. Then again, they would then have to make that armour available to PvP players and it would mess everything up.

Just the words "new items" in the statement is good enough for me. But I swear if any SF armour looks kickass... grrr Anet...

Prehaps the new items will be a weapon crafter of some kind. Prehaps someone who can craft neat offhands? Either way... the big date is so close...

There will always be new armors coming out, especially as we get 3 or 4 expansions/free updates under our belts. It's not worth crying about really, same with new weapons. Just enjoy what's there today and then when new stuff comes out get that as well if it looks cool. I think a mix and match +dyes approach will make you look really individual tbh
