It just me... Or does faction gain feel REALLY slow now?

Suddenly, after playing for a few hours tonight, I check my faction and am shocked to see it quite low. After getting everyone hooked on the high faction from PVP Extreme, well I just hope that they got alot of positive feedback and are looking to implement faster faction earner permermently

I think the faction was there to get people into PvP, but when they see how hard it is to get faction without a bonus, then they will probably just give up..

I think a lot of PvP newbies have probably quit already. During PvPX, all the good guilds & organized players were out in full force, making it difficult for newer unorganized groups to win a lot.

I enjoyed PvPX. It was a great idea, and well-implemented. I'm sure that the core reason for it was to encourage PvErs to try out PvP for the first time, while offering PvPers a little less grind in unlocking their skills.
However, despite enjoying the random PUGs I encountered in the 4x4 arenas, it's pretty obvious that the ones who got the most out of the event were the ones who play PvP anyway. ToPK became almost unbearable from faction-boosting PvPers shouting "No n00bs", and any PUG that I joined would have quitters because we weren't progressing through the tournament fast enough.

My own guild shamelessly farmed the noobs in Tombs for the "free faction". Every time we went in and saw that we faced nothing but PUGs, 9 games of 10, we were assured a solid easy win. There were a few well-run TS/Vent PUG's that handed our asses to us.
