Getting from the Great Northern Wall to Frontier Gate?

I tried asking last night in game but wasn't getting any responses. I am trying to get to Frontier Gate from The Great Northern Wall but I can't seem to do it.

Is there a doorway or something I just can't find? I have tried going up the stairs to the top but I can't get across up there.

I tried even going around from Fort Ranik, nada.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I am having the identical problem. I've also wandered all over Pockmark Flats. I think I've spend a total of 6 1/2 hours looking for Frontier Gate. Pathetic I know.
Any help would be appreciated.

yes this is driving me nuts.

looking at the maps it looks like you have to go waaaaay south east before you start heading north.

the thing that sucks for me is that i took the advice of the guides and did EVERYTHING in pre-searing ascalon which dumped me out of the academy at level 8...now i basically can't get any xp, and it's taking me hours and hours, and hours trying to figure out how the hell i can get somewhere where i can get a bit of xp. It's frustrating as hell putting in hours of gameplay and not getting hardly any xp. I'm doing this with only 1 henchman (i'm a monk) to try to speed up my passage through these zones.

Any future alts i make, i will get the hell out of pre-searing ascalon by level 4 or 5 at the latest.

Get a party of two, one to zone and the other to toggle the lever (on top of the gate)

Its a shame you cant go there to solo..

Gate you're talking about is which one? THe first one west of Ascalon before the Swirly gate?

You guys do realize you can get to the frontier gate by doing missions right? If not you have to do the mission out of ascalon city (i think its defend the wall) then you will also have to do the one out of fort ranik. Doing this will take you directly to the frontier gate....along with some nice xp for completing the missions.

D'oh!!! Missions are key. I think the only one u need to explore around to find is serenity temple in that area. everything else is attainable from missions...

the other way piken square and sarlac sanatarium, and something courthouse(NNW of Nolani Academy mission.) are areas to search for around Ascalon... after that you go through the mounitans and theres other goodies to find. but thats enough to get u started...
