Hello everyone,
I'm thinking of making a ranger. I've never used a bow before for a primary weapon.
So, if any of you with experience using them, could drop me a line on what I should look for -short-long-storm-etc. I'd be very appreciative.
Thanks.

This is what I have gathered from this forum, and I hope someone corrects me if I'm wrong, because my ranger is getting to a point where it will begin to matter:
Short = close combat
Long/Flat = pulling, ranged combat
Composite = distracting/interrupting

I equip two bows, a stormbow (my primary for long range) and a shortbow (if the enemy moves into closer range)
In general I favor range. (longbow and the like)

something worth mentioning are... flatbow work like short bow when they are firing from the same distance...
imagine recurve/composite to longbow.
