Someone mentioned to me that the best PvP teams have 2 healing monks and 1 protection monk. That's an awful lot of monks out of 8 people. Can anyone that's played in the HoH comment? I'm new to GW and so is my guild, the only PvP we've done so far is the Arena mission before entering post-Searing.

The number of monks depends on the rest of the build. You can have less healing and more damage, if you kill fast enough you don't need to heal :P
For the start, I'd suggest 2 or 3 monks for tombs and 3 for GvG.
And all other characters should drop their self healing skills for damage/interrupt/whatever skills.
