I guess the word has changed meaning a bit over the years, I used to think it meant completely removing something but it's being used in a context where the skill now acts exactly as the description was before the "nerf", so to me it's more of a bug fix.
However, people are still posting that the 55 monk is "nerfed" which is definitely not true, so I did some raw footage of a 55 monk solo'ing griffons, trolls and the underworld (I left out the axes since they take longer)
This footage was done on Sep 1st, a week after the "correction"

Most of the people just haven't realized that it is still possible, but rely on others to think of the quick switch in skills themselves. (Btw I HATE the word 'nerf' in any context lol)

Lazy like people who don't even read the posts they're responding to, they just look at the title and start typing away. There might be a higher ratio of bots on these forums than in the actual game.
It's not meant to be impressive, there is misinformation that anet will nerf builds if people solo UW, they didn't nerf the 55 monk build. People have said many times, "the build is not nerfed", but others continue to spread fudd. This is not fudd, it's proof that the build was not nerfed.
