Anyone Else Notice This?

During my solo runs on griffons and a few other select mobs (heh not telling), I've noticed my target is starting to "run" more, thus screwing up my cyclone axe attack for health. I even found one area where every flippin mob ran as soon as I pressed "bonetti's defense" lol not swinging at me, no energy gain!! I think the DEVS have been secretly making some changes behind our backs.

It's not happening every single battle, but, it is becoming noticeable from a select group and area. But, I've changed my build anyways and don't depend on Cyclone Axe for hp gain anyway anymore so pffft on you Devs. I don't even use Living Vicariously or Vigorous Spirit anymore. I found something better and gives me extra slot for damage now. bwahahahaha

I am though glad to see mobs doing something besides standing there and getting slaughtered, always wondered why they didn't run more often. I noticed casters usually always ran a little bit, but, never melee types like these before.

The GW monsters are becoming sentient. What's next? Skynet?

I noticed this as well, but it was quite a while ago. I'm not sure if GW has made any further changes. Nothing that I've noticed.

I've noticed the running away thing, but only with griffins. It's been around for quite some time too. When you have multiple people in your party, you'll find that instead of running away, they're simply switching targets. Also, they seem to change who's on the front line from time to time which, when you're dealing with the monk boss out there, gives them a chance to get healed ever so often.

I think this stuff might just be a part of the AI that was previously over-looked by some people.

Good! I hope they keep beefing up the AI. I'm not saying anything bad about farming, but the AI is so DUMB in this game, it's insulting. I want them to do something other than sit there and die please.

I've had terrible griffon item drops for a while now, that might just be my bad luck though

When you run past the griffons, don't attack the ones that don't immediately chase after you. Those ones have a tendency to run away when they're health gets low.

Best bet is to target Featherfist or Screamingclaw because they never run away (although I tend to avoid Screamingclaw).

Then the GW AI becomes self-aware and realizes...it doesn't need us. It'll decide our fate in a microsecond: extermination. Then the Crystal Spiders, Mahgo Hydras, and Mursaat will appear everywhere in Tryia. Old Ascalon, Kryta, the Shiverpeaks. Everywhere. Guild Wars life as we know it will cease to exist, giving rise to a new order of intelligence: griffons that got smart.

Sorry, couldn't resist. lol
