Random Drops?

Just been to FoW.
I got 4 of 6 shards and the only ruby. (i gave the ruby to our warrior)
what on earth??

Our Warrior got almost nothing and shards just would not stop dropping for me...

He said that he had been to FoW tons of time today and got none.

maybe they have changed the nerf system. maybe it reduces the person who is repetative farming's drops. not the whole groups. this would make sense to me but as far as i'm aware they have made no changes...

When I went to FoW for the first time as my monk, one necro got 4 out of 5 shards. and whoever got the other one.

I've never gotten any black dye from the 2 and 1/2 months I've been playing. I think ANet has programmed in hidden code against me.

There is no system, never has been a system, it is simply random assignment. You will have good days (4 of 6 shards) and bad days (0 of 6 shards). You just tend to remember the good days.

i have never failed to get a shard in fissure with Jim. however Jim seems to be blesséd of Balthasar. what with finding like 10 black dyes, 1 sup vig rune, 1 sup abs rune, 2 sup monk runes, and numerous other runes over the course of a career less than 80 hours long....

My first succesfull FoW trip as a necro netted me 4 out of the 5 shards that dropped.

Anyway, it's random.

The good days stick with you... the bad days you'd rather forget. So in the end in may not seem random, but it evens out. My first 3 FoW runs I averaged 2 shard drops per. On my last two, I've gotten no shards. Hell... on my last one, the monk got all 4 that dropped (and was very arrogant about it to boot).
