Hi all,

Given the recent issues with people leaving the European server I thought I would ask where those of us from Australia and the Asia Pacific are playing?

What server are you on and how do you find it? Some thoughts please as my Aussie guild are slowly transferring to US.

Bye for now

Jodie

I am from Malaysia.
Since the Guild Wars copy that I bought is a North America release, thus from start I played in the America servers.

Cheers mate.

I bought GW when it first came to Aus and was placed automatically on the US server's. I've stayed on the US server's purely because of the fact they speak english (or some wierd form of GW english at times ).

Aussie, always on U.S. servers.

Europe and Asia always gets the shaft - there's just too many languages in those regions.

I guess all hardcore gamers need to learn English and Japanese With Mandarin getting closer in the future.

Thanks Guys for letting me know. Yesterday after playing in the practically empty Europe I changed over to USA so far have been quite happy. Loads of people to play with and for the very first time EVER saw the statues with flames and water flowing. I even, had to asked what the ghost did in the temple of ages! Not ever having been to the underworld.

Only thing I have noticed is in some missions there are more party leavers, but i was a little sick of playing with only hencies so dont think I will change back. I wonder if there will ever be an Asia Pacific server there must be a few of us through out the region but I guess without the volume of players we would have the same problems as Europe.

bye for now

Start up Guild Wars and log into your account, but do not select a character! Click the "Edit Account" button and then select the "Change Territory" option. That will let you change to/from your current territory to another one.

Note that people on the US & European server's can only swap to each other, they can't swap to the Korean server.

Aussie, play on european servers, but will most likely move to US servers soon because we never have the favor at times when I can play

strangly enough, when guild wars first came out, Australians ended up on the Euro server by default... a few month later, we ended up on the US server by default.

Kiwi, since release have been on American servers. Since the majority of my guild are also kiwis and are on the American servers, add about 30-40 more people to this.

Many Aussies defaulted to the European servers, but those that played in the betas were playing on the American servers and when the retail version came out and we logged back in with the same account and found ourselves on the US servers still.

Most or the community at: http://www.anzgw.com are playing on the US servers... If you are an Aussie or Kiwi you should check that site out

Hi all,

Australians should definitely play on the American Territory (regardless of where the game places you by default). Because of the way internet traffic is routed from Australia to Europe via the US, the US is significantly better for anyone in that area of the world.
