no one said swords are weak.. whoever did is stupid... but alot of ppl said Swords suck in pvp which they do... axes much faster and bit stronger, hammer WAY stronger...

Actually swords are very viable in pvp, although you'd have to plan abit, its much easier to use than axe and hammer since its basically spam dmg till you kill. Been using swords in tombs and its pretty good, it can drop people just as fast if not faster than an axe/hammer, it wont however, have the problematic effects axe(disrupt chop) and hammers(knockdowns) can do, its just straight up dmg fighter, 15-22 means a very tight dmg spread. sever/gash/100blades/final(w/ strength of honor + judges/both orders) = death very quickly.

ARRRRGHS, don't start yet another holy war about swords versus axes versus hammers in this thread. This board is FILLED with it.

it goes like this:
swords have better energy attacks
axes have better adrenaline attacks.
thats the rough guide.

great picture Heh thanks, on a previous attack I scored 194 damage so I had my finger hovering over the printscreen button on that enemy.

1. he was using judge's insight, its just wearing off so its harder to see the picture.
2. swords has a faster attack rate. 1 extra swing per 100 hits. so small that it doesn't matter.

According to the Prima Guide, the Speeds of Axes and Swords are both 1.33 seconds. Considering the vagueness of the "Swords are faster" group, I think I'll believe the Guide.

swords and axes are the same speed 1.33, w/ hammer trailing them both @ 1.8.
