hows about a E/Me with one mess-load on energy storage, and the rest equally on Fire and Illusion.

the old echo nuker was just have arcane echo and then use meteor shower or fire storm.

hows about:
Arcane Echo
Echo {E}
Fire Attunement
Meteor Shower (or whatever)
the rest can be what ever you want.

first cast fire attunement, then echo arcane echo. cast your new arcane echo then cast Meteor Shower. then cast the origional arcane echo (shouldn't be far from recharging) and cast the echo, arcane echoed Meteor shower. then cast the newly arcane echoed Meteor shower.

this should work... just leave about 10 secs between the echos and the showers to allow the first echo to recharge. and you can put out 3 meteor showers in 35 seconds

'course the exhaustion will be almost crippling. but then i don't think even glint could survive this.

will it work though? i don't have the nececcary characters to try it out.

(it looks very complicated so good luck understanding it)

ya ive used this, but i stuck a glyph of lesser energy in before the last meteor:
arcane echo
meteor shower
echo
meteor shower
glyph of lesser energy
meteor shower

Works well in some cases, even won a tombs battle with 4 henchies doing it hehe

edit: and you should have 16 fire, 13 (with runes) energy storage. Illusion does not help the echoing at all.

I've tried something similiar with Firespells. An interesting sitenote is to know that Glyph of Sacrifice (the one you cast the spell instant) does not affect echoed spells. They just wear off after 20 seconds and the Glyph Penalty does not affect the normal echo spell but the spell that now vanished into some random memory hole, therefore.. you bypass the Glyph penalty by doing that. Its quite the nasty surprise to fire two meteor showers almost at once (with that little shift inbetween) and i've had many folks say "wtf" who thought Meteor Shower would be awfully weak in pvp. Is is still weak when two of them at once nail you down for the whole spell duration? Probably not. Due to the slightly shifted casting time you're chaining a series of knockdowns with no "olololoooool *Sidestep*" being possible.

you need a bit in Illusion because you want the echo to last long enough.

the order needs to be
Arcane echo
Meteor Shower (the real one)
Echo
Arcane echo (which is now the Meteor shower we used before)
Echo (which is now meteor shower from the arcane echo)

fire attunement can be used before you start and glyph can be used for the last meteor.

i though this would be useful in FoW and UW though i see that 3 showers at once will not let anyone get up let alone move out the way in PvP...

more useful in PvE because of the massive exhaustion i think.

The duration was important so that you could stagger the meteors at nice constant knockdown durations but no its not really important :P.

as i said this was primarily for PvE but could be used in PvP. shatter is not such a problem there.

however this is for early on if it was used in PvP... when the healers of your team are being targeted.

very limited use in PvP IMO but awsome if used in conjunction with a good tank to take all the aggro. this can output more than 1000 dmg i should think... to each enemy very tasty...

In Pvp you can have something like

16air
15energy storage

lightning orb
lightning javelin
elemental attunement
air attunement
Aura of Restoration
arcane echo
rezz sig
(something)

You bascically cast elemental attunement and air attunement at the same time to get 80% of your energy back every time you cast an air spell. Then, use arcane echo followed by lightning orb so you can cast 2orbs every 5 secs. Against monks thats 140dmg if they have 60armor. In between the orbs cast javelin to interrupt them from casting anything useful. For energy, you start off with about 87energy i think. Elemental attunement, aura of restoration and air attunement would take 30energy?(its something like that) then arcane echo takes 15energy dropping you to about 42energy if u dont count in energy regen. Then, 1orb would only cost 3energy while 1 javelin would only cost 2 energy with elemental and air attunement on. Assuming you can cast 2orbs and 1javelin every 5secs, that would only be 8energy every 5 secs so you can get off 8orbs and 4javelin in 20secs, but you would only lose about 32energy. If you add in 4pips of recharge and assuming that it takes you 23secs to go through this, thats about 30energy regenerated getting you to 40energy by the end of this combo. You then wait for arcane echo to recharge before you continue. You can keep this build continue almost indefinately if you have a necro in your group that uses blood ritual or bip. The only weakness to this build is either a shutdown mesmer or an interrupting ranger.

Yeah this is pretty useless in PvP. Also in PvE Meteor shower is more about the knockdown than damage anyway. You are almost always better off using a single meteor shower then other spells.
